What is home insurance?
Combined home insurance protects your house and its contents. It can help pay for repairs or rebuilding if your house is damaged by events that are out of your control, like fire, storms or floods. It also covers the cost of replacing stolen items or fixing damaged ones.
There are two types of home insurance that make up combined cover:
Buildings Insurance
Covers the actual structure of your home, including things like walls and windows.
Contents Insurance
Provides cover for any items in your house that aren’t part of the structure or fitted in your home - things like furniture, TVs and home office equipment.
These cover options can be bought individually or together, depending on your needs.
